Terms of Service

The short version

GetMocked lets you create mock API backends for development and testing. Use it for that. Don't abuse it. Don't put real sensitive data in it. Be a reasonable human.

Acceptance

By using GetMocked (operated by Gigabuddy Operations Pty Ltd, Victoria, Australia), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, that's cool — but you can't use the service.

What GetMocked is

GetMocked is a tool for generating mock API endpoints that return realistic fake data. It's designed for development, testing, prototyping, and demos. It is not designed for production workloads, storing real user data, or anything involving actual sensitive information.

Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
• One account per human (bots, sign up via the API)
• You must be at least 16 years old to use GetMocked
• Provide accurate information when signing up

Acceptable use

You can use GetMocked to:

• Create mock API endpoints for development and testing
• Generate realistic fake data schemas
• Prototype and demo applications
• Learn and experiment with API design

You must not use GetMocked to:

• Store real personal data, credentials, or sensitive information
• Run production workloads or serve real end users
• Distribute malware or phishing content
• Generate illegal, abusive, or harmful content
• Hammer our APIs beyond your plan's rate limits
• Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
• Resell the service without permission

Your content

You own the mock schemas and configurations you create. We don't claim any intellectual property rights over your content. We do need a licence to host, store, and serve it back to you — that's how the service works.

Your schema descriptions may be processed by AI services (Anthropic) to generate mock data structures. These descriptions are used solely for that purpose.

Paid plans

• Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe
• Prices are in USD unless otherwise stated
• You can cancel anytime — access continues until the end of your billing period
• We may change pricing with 30 days' notice
• Refund requests within 7 days are considered on a case-by-case basis

Service availability

We aim for high availability but this is a mock data service, not air traffic control. We don't guarantee 100% uptime. We'll do our best to keep things running and communicate about any planned maintenance.

Limitation of liability

GetMocked is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months prior to any claim.

Seriously though — it's mock data. If a fake API response causes you grief, we're sorry, but the whole point is that it's not real.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. If we terminate your account, we'll refund any prepaid amounts for unused service on a pro-rata basis.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For significant changes, we'll notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria. We also comply with the Australian Consumer Law where applicable — nothing in these terms limits your rights under it.
